The Energy Efficient Buildings and Communities Workshop (EEBC Workshop) was an invitation-only workshop held May 19-22, 2013 in Tartu, Estonia. The EEBC Workshop was organized by the University of Tartu (Estonia); the State University of Ponta Grossa (Brazil); the University of North Texas (USA); and the City of Denton (USA).

The EEBC Workshop explored current research, trends, challenges, and best practices for energy efficient buildings and communities. The workshop also promoted global research collaborations through dialogue on the topic of energy efficient buildings and communities.

The EEBC Workshop was attended by over 30 participants, who represented 4 continents and 8 countries. The EEBC Workshop organizers are grateful to the mayors, city officials, industry leaders, researchers, and scholars who participated in the workshop by sharing their valuable insights on energy efficient buildings and communities.
